Volunteer - Help build a home. You don't need special skills. Experts on-site will teach you everything you need to know. And if you're not quite ready to start building, you can help by serving snacks or meals to other workers.
Recycle - Your recyclables are worth money. Give them to Habitat for Humanity, and you'll help build a home. Check with your local Habitat for Humanity chapter to find out what items they accept and where to take them. Common recyclables include aluminum cans, newspaper, cell phones and ink cartridges.
Support Habitat for Humanity Restores - Did you know that Habitat for Humanity runs retail stores? They accept donations of - and then resell - new or nearly new building supplies, furniture, appliances and home decorating items. Many people aren't aware of this great resource. You can help build homes by spreading the word. Anyone can help by donating or purchasing items.
